The words I have decided on are rust (v.) wild (adj.) and life (n.)
I feel like these three words work together to create a narrative, but also each have a story of their own that I hope have different elements to include and influence my model.
Rust- To me rust is similar to sickness on a person like a virus on a building, it spreads fast and eats away at the building affecting its structure and "health" as such. Rust is spread out and clustered and random points, it is usually centred at a point and the outer points are not as affected as the original point. Rust grows and comes alive, whilst destroying the material.
elements to consider in model? texture, centred, levels, dissolving/breaking down/ disappearing, no straight lines
wild- To me wild relates directly to randomness and clustered points. A strong contrast in colour is also usually an element of wild and random organic natural shapes with no straight lines. Again the idea of virus comes up as wild as viruses are wild and untamed and so i hope to include this in my model.
elements to consider in model? contrast in colour, free flowing lines
Life- Life has a very wide definition as I feel that life is everything and anything, however I have decided to take it as movement and randomness, something taking on its own ideas shapes and forms with no real confinement. Life has no confinements however is very delicate and can easily be broken. It works well with the word rust, as rust seems to take on a life of its own, moving around the surface.
elements to consider in model? Delicate, movement, flowing.
Update. I am still unable to get 3ds max on my laptop and so am not able to upload any developmental work yet, will work on some more tomorrow, and hopefully get some screenshots up.
