Reflection on Rendering
I found that I had to do a lot of material experimentation as for my models to appear cobweb-like the colours and models needed to look like they didnt exsist. I achieved this by useing natural off-white materials and usually ones with a slight texture aplied and then made transparent, similar to a cobweb. many materials didnt take to being made transparent very well, and because of this i tried a variety of materials, from images of cobwebs, water, glass, stone, ceramic and metal. i found the most successful to be marble stone surprisingly.
With lighting I really struggled to find a light that worked with the transparency and didnt make is shine like the light of god and loose all detail. I used the shadows to show a more cobweb like structure.
Compositon, floating, much like cobwebs in real life environments

Developmental work
Concept 3
Developments
I really felt like i was going no where with this concept, i did a few more developmental tweaks however i found everything to be to a poor quality. and so i made the consious decision to leave it and continue on with other designs.

rough sketches and inspiration
I have decided my main form of inspiration will be spider webs focussing mainly on the random pattern and form created using these unique geometric shapes and a spindley almost see through material. im thinking to recreate this see through aspect i might have to hollow out a shape and have a cobweb like pattern as the outside creating this form. In my sketches i have focussed on how vector lines can create a form, like the straight lines being arranged to form a curve. Im not sure how well this will transfer into a 3d model however so at this point i am just brainstorming and experimenting with new ideas.
